I have a scary problem and I need to know if anyone else has experienced this. I drive a 2016 Lincoln MKC and I love the comfort and quiet ride. But last week something happened that really worried me. I stopped at a traffic light in Abu Dhabi, and when the light turned green and I pressed the gas pedal, nothing happened. The engine had shut off by itself. The dashboard lights were still on, the radio was playing, but the engine was dead. I put the car in park and restarted it, and it was fine. Then two days later, the same thing happened again at another stop. I am scared now. I don’t want my car to die in the middle of a busy road. My car does not have the start-stop system that turns off the engine to save fuel. So this is not normal. A friend told me it could be a bad sensor or a problem with the throttle body. I have been looking for professional Lincoln repair solutions in Abu Dhabi because I want someone who really knows these cars to check it. Has anyone else had their Lincoln MKC or any Lincoln shut off randomly at stops? What was the problem and how much did it cost to fix? Is this dangerous to keep driving? I need my car every day for work but I am scared it will die in traffic. Please share your experiences. Any advice would really help me. I am very worried about my car and my safety.
