A couple of friends who also drive Land Rovers have switched to independents and they’ve been really happy with the quality of work and the savings, so I’m thinking about making the jump myself. The thing that’s holding me back is the worry that some independents might cut corners or not have the right diagnostic equipment for the newer systems, but I’ve also heard that there are specialists out there who are actually better than the dealers because they take more time to properly inspect things rather than rushing through a checklist.
