This one has me confused. My 2012 BMW X6 doesn’t leak a drop of oil when I’m just doing short trips around the city, but whenever I take it on a longer highway run of an hour or more, I come back to find a small puddle of oil under the front of the car the next morning. It’s maybe a few tablespoons, nothing massive, but it’s consistent. I’ve had a regular mechanic look and they couldn’t find the source because when they cleaned everything and ran the car in the shop, no leak appeared. Someone suggested it could be a valve cover gasket that only leaks when the oil gets really hot and thin, or maybe a turbo oil feed line that expands with heat. I’ve been looking for a meticulous leak repair abu dhabi shop that uses UV dye and can drive the car hard to replicate the conditions before putting it on a lift. Has anyone experienced an oil leak that only showed up after sustained highway driving? What did it end up being? I’m tired of cleaning my driveway and worried it might get worse suddenly on a road trip.
